Tiring Days

christmas was over and here came there 3rd week of 2nd Sem....

yes, 3RD WEEK!!

wat's so special of 3rd week dat i hv to make its font dat big and bolded?

it's bcz fr this week on our timetable wil be real real PACK!

no more SSL ( self-study learning aka sleeping time )...

no more 4hrs break in between the classes..

no more my-tutorial-is nx-section-so-i-can-go-back-and-sleep-now...

and

we hv to WALK MORE!

i think i'd been spending half of my time just walking here and there...

so basically i just jump flat on my bed once im back fr class these days..

feel as if my legs weren't mine at all =(

and still hv to bear wif it for one sem...

i think our Dean just take us as robots which nid no rest...

Christmas Weekend

back to penang for christmas!

we usually celebrate our christmas at yiyi's house in quite a "comtemporary" way:
fiesta wif turkey, baked potatoes, baked sausages belted wif bacon, wine, fruit punch...
yiyi's church members would come over carolling and then gift exchange around 12...
but i missed all of these this year...
HOW BAD T.T
cz i only reached penang around 9smthg on christmas eve...
obviously they hd went over to yiyi's house at bm for christmas-eve party...
daddi suggested me to stop at juru toll and he pick me up there...
but then it would be kind of troublesome...
so asked for Wen's help last minute...
luckily Wen hd no function dat nite..
so she can pick me up..

as nobody's home, neither did i bring along my house key,
so just spontenously we went E-gate Starbuck while waiting my family to be back...
bumped into some of the youth impacts there..

also, as it's been ages since wen last met suiyen...
we called up her and so she came over wif adelyn too afta attending church...
hd gals talk and of cz nt to miss...

we hd lunch at Apex Cafe..
and as usual, gals' talk again~!
it reminded me of the cnys we hd togthr during schooling days...

a bit bit dissapointment at nite...
but nvm...i noe eu were just worried of my safety =]

sat mornin, again, another gals outing wif the gals...
went yam cha wif mag, wen, sue-yin, laine, fishy
**just ignore ts...he and fishy are 2 in 1...LOL**
brought along xiangling too...she insisted on following...
and smthg real funny happened...
mag, wen and i reached first...
laine n fishy were just on the way picking up sue-yin..
so they asked us to start first...
but then for ur info, there's basically 2 点心之家 in penang - one opp KDU ; another opp UMNO...
and guess what?
we just went to d diff ones...
** communication break down**
and the climax was we only discovered it when we were almost done eating..
**no wonder they just din come eh*
hahahah >,< nite, planned of going out...
but forced to cancel off due to certain reason..

so...this was how i spent my Christmas weekend!
thr's a small regret for this trip back to penang by the way = (
anyway, im now back to uni, getting myself ready to focus on my STUDY!
no more holiday mode til CNY break !

Double Standard

very often, we hv double standard in us :

we judge people using this rule while judgin our own wif a diff rule,

setting a lower standard for ourselves while asking more from the rest.

we allow ourselves to make mistakes while pinning down the rest for just even a little tiny mistake they did.

we tend to pointing towards others instead of reflecting back.

Lecture Marathon

Hd non-stop of lectures fr early in the morning 8am til 3.30pm wif only 30 mins of break in between today...
and the worst thg is gota rush straight away to medical fac afta lecture for prosection class...

i found my Mr Right in prosec hall. LOL =P

and then again rushing back to our fac for OB tutorial immediately afta class...
real TIRING! >,<
but then smthg special happened today...
i was sitting in the second row in the lecture hall...
my pencil case just fell in the middle of the lecture and all of my stationery just gt scattered all over the floor...
yea, it's nthg to be "hoo-ha" of for dat...
tat basically happened quite often to such a clumsy me...
BUT the point is dat Prof Cheng had actually put down his mic, bent down helping me to pick them up!
how kind of him~ *arw~*
i mean like, eu noe la, most of the Profs - with their big big PhD, Dr. or wat-so-ever titles - are real ignorant n arrogant kind...
who wil help their students pickin up thgs...?! bending down sumore...
i real respect lecturer like Prof Cheng so much - smart yet humble..

Happy Winter Solstice!

it's the Winter Solstice Festival today!
Traditionally, this is the day when family members would sit down togthr, making and eating glutinous balls (TangYuan) which symbolize reunion.
As im from a big close-knitted family, i hd quite sum wonderful memories regarding this festival. =)
The glutinous balls making was one of our annual family activities.
on the night before, all of them would cum over to my house, helping up my granny.
and we the cousins would crowd around the table in the living room, making glutinous balls while watching tv; the mums would be sitting around the dining table, making theirs while chatting ; and the dads would be upstairs hving company conference.
Ah, I just seriously miss the time so much! hahahas =)
I miss the yummy yummy colourful glutinous balls ah ma made too!
but this year im away fr home and i hv to bear wif a LONELY winter solstice..
candise went paktor while evelynn had joined the rest of them to SS2 for glutinous balls...
and i wana do preparation for tmr's prosection class...
so im alone in the room again....TOO BAD =(
but nvm, evelynn promised to get back a bowl of it for me!
and ah ma promise to make sum specially for me when im back home on christmas!

it's monday again, another new week!

as i'd done my pbl presentation b4 exam, so my class ended on 12 today....

** ys, i noe eu are jealous of me **

and our official result from the faculty is finally out today...

our batch has made quite a number of new records of the faculty:

1. Lowest passing rate for Anatomy, ~15% pass wif equal percentage of ppl getting F.

2. Lowest passing rate for Physiology, ~10% pass

3. Lowest passing rate for Biochemistry, ~50% pass

4. The first and only batch wif NONE gt A for Oral Biology.

and of the majority, i failed quite badly this time...

in fact this is the exam i did the worst for my whole life - fr kindy to pri sch to high sch to college...

of cz thr's few times dat i did quite bad...

but nv once dat's as bad as this extend dat i fail almost all subjs...

it's kind of hard to accept at first...
.
but im quite okay wif it d nw...

cz we actually knew most of the result before hand and d crying part of mine is basically over...

and undeniable dat i was nt at my tip-top condition this sem...

so fr now on, i shall learn to manage my emotions better, doin catch up work...

My Sunday

**making lemonade out of lemons**

was a bit moody this morning...

so obviously couldnt really focus studying anatomy as i planned to...

and thus decided to get my hands on tooth craving...

the one i'd done the other day gt broken at its root part just b4 Prof Marina gt to see...

so i spent almost the whole day, fr 4smthg til now,

on craving 3 teeth :1 premolar, 1 mandibular molar & 1 maxillary molar

and nw im real EXHAUSTED...

hvin real terrible neckache and cramped fingers..

due to such long hour of lookin down, grippin the craver...

but im quite sastified wif my work this time....

they show more distinct and finer morphology of each tooth...

practice really makes perfect huh?

the whole college is kind of quiet that eu can actually hear a pin drop....

and feelin guilty for lying on the bed for 6 hours doin nthg at all for the whole aftanoon,

i decided to study Anatomy at this quiet lonely nite...

getting myself prepared for nx week's SDL for the topic ORBIT

and guess what?

i came across wif such an "interesting" n so-unexpected-to-be-seen extract in my dull prosection guide book!

and it sounds lik this....
